Visakhapatnam: Madhya Pradesh Tourism on Friday held a roadshow here showcasing the State as a hub for temple tourism, ecotourism, leisure tourism and tiger tourism.

The roadshow, which evokes a good response, engaged the city's travel enthusiasts and stakeholders with the opportunity to explore whether it's spiritual solace, thrilling wildlife encounters, cultural heritage or adventure tourism as a complete travel package.

The roadshow explained the potential of UNESCO World Heritage Sites Khajuraho and Sanchi's Buddhist stupa, Bhimbetka's prehistoric rock shelters, 30 per cent of land mass in reserve forests, India's largest tiger habitat, 12 national parks and two jyotirlingams at Ujjain and Omkareshwar.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Director of MP Tourism Board Vivek Jude said the tourists footfall has increased from 2.44 crore to 13.33 crore in the past five years.
